Between the thinkers and the doers, who do you think finds more success?
It’s the doers.
Why do you think there are so many rich and obnoxious influencers? So many narcissistic billionaires?
Because they don’t hesitate.
Now, I’m not villainizing them. I’m making a point.
You might actually be more capable than average. But someone “dumber” and “more fearless” than you will surpass you in no time…
…because they outdo you.
So really, who’s the dumb one?
Me.
Because that’s how I’ve been for the past 3 years 😅
Stuck in circles. Fine-tuning. Planning. With very little action.
So this July, I’m taking on a challenge.
“The faster I start, the sooner I’ll get feedback.”
I told ChatGPT to fine-tune my plan. And then I let it prioritize speed.
Main goal: Get a new email copywriting client.
How?
Daily applications to job sites (doing!)
Cold pitches with a lead magnet
I’m working on my lead magnet this week.
Note that I’m also managing time to support my existing client.
So there’s that... We’ll see how I’ll fare this month.
In the past, I would’ve added more than my usual goals. I’d tell myself to post consistently on Instagram, to network on LinkedIn.
They’re irrelevant to my goal for now.
I’ve come to realize that overwhelm brings confusion. And confusion leads to inaction.
I need to simplify to act.
Undoing bad habits.
I tend to nitpick. Overcorrect. Change things up before they even get a chance to work.
That’s why I’ve struggled to gain momentum. I keep switching gears mid-drive.
This month, I won’t do that. I’ll follow ChatGPT’s plan, straight up.
Scold me if you catch me randomly fixing my website when I should be building my lead magnet 😭
